we left tokyo for hakone on our forth day in japan. we had plans to explore hakone more on the first day but due to unforseen circumstances, we arrived in hakone late so we ended up just walking ard the area near our airbnb.
the next day, we travelled 3 hours to get to chureito pagoda to catch the famous view of mount fuji from the pagoda. we were so so blessed with the clear skies that day, mr fuji san just flaunting its beauty everywhere we went. i tried to see mount fuji thrice (this being the 4th time), but failed the first two times. even the third time when i finally got to see him, the skies weren’t as clear so i was so glad he showed up so beautifully this time round.
we walked round fujiyoshida, which was a few minutes away from chureito pagoda, taking more shots of mr fuji. this was a dream come true for me as i have seen pictures of fuji san from this town on instagram a lot and have always wished to take my own shots here. this day was truly another one of my fav moments from our trip; the 3 hour journey back and fro was so worth it.
we left hakone for kyoto the next day, reaching kyoto later than intended (again) but we still managed to explore kyoto a little whilst searching for dinner. that evening, the sunset painted kyoto in such a pretty colour that i was so excited for our time spent there the next couple of days.
