Hey guys, I realized I didn't go over the difference between getting a Rail Pass or individual tickets, but to be honest I didn't find the Rail Passes to be worth it unless you are traveling to many different destinations in a short period of time. There are calculators on the JR website so you can check if it is worth it for you. Here are the official links:

I'm a little jealous that you got to have Tully's! I think the last Tully's in the US closed around a decade ago, or at least in its hometown of Seattle. I forget what a big deal Tully's still is in Japan.
One strange idea from me:
Please make a video with sounds of Tokyo! I miss them so much and there is no way I can remember all these things. I want to hear the traffic lights sounds – these little birds while people are crossing, the different songs of each metro station and also the incredible voices announcing the shinkansen stops. There is no other place in the world like Japan and Tokyo!
Please do such video or at least a short!
