Welcome to watch another flight video / Trip Report! Today we’re flying with one of Nyxair’s SAAB 340B turboprops. (HEL-JYV). The SAAB regional aircrafts (2000 and 340) are slowly becoming a rare sight so it was nice to be onboard! Of course it was a bit more noisy than modern jets but that’s just nice little detail. The snowy weather… well the heavy winds literally rocked this small plane in takeoff and even more during landing…

  1. I flown from Boston to Long Island in a Saab 340 ufff… 27 years ago, it was a pretty nice fligth. I prefer small planes than bigger ones, you better feel the ride.

  2. Saab 340 was a great pilots machine. I flew one in arctic trips and one of my last legs was to a runway 31 with winds 360/37G48. It doable. Solid arrival. No passenger complaints. Just happy to make it home

  3. Have flown 30+ times BMA- VBY with 340's. Fine aircraft, now retired in favour of ATR72. Admittedly more comfortable and quiter but not the same feeling….
