It is called poor planning like you said the road was being constructed for a while now so there is no reason why they did not plan in advance and start building a new police station elsewhere, or until the new building is finshed they could temporarily use caravans on the new site to house the offices for the station. It is just plain lack of advance planning.
It is unfortunate, but it seems that there is a lack of communication, confusion, or just poor planning among all the stakeholders in this highway project. It's not just the police station. It's the completion dates being given, the failure to check on the local contractors and on and on…….
Govt red tape and bureaucracy is the cause of all that and the security minister did say the new station will be built behind the old one closer to the shoreline they just working out the final details with the architect in terms of height of the building and protection from wave action from hurricanes. I guess you miss that news.
