In the small town of Kitakyushu, which is a 4-hour drive from Tokyo (Japan), there is an amazingly beautiful place – the Kawachi Fuji Garden, one of the main attractions of which is the Wisteria Tunnel. Millions of different types of flowers grow here, each of which is unique and fascinating in its own way. But the main thing that not only all of Japan comes to see, but also tourists from other countries is the incredible beauty of the tunnels of flowers hanging in garlands.
Most of all in Kawachi Fuji is wisteria. As you know, it is the wisteria that are the symbol of Japan and in Japanese they are called “Fuji”. The most famous mountain in Japan – Fujiyama – bears the name of this beautiful flower and literally means “Mount Wisteria”. Wisteria is a genus of tall tree-like climbing subtropical plants from the legume family with large tassels of fragrant flowers.
