About me:
After overcoming challenges from a near death experience (https://youtu.be/XHuYKUfXqjQ), a school shooting in 2016 at UCLA (https://youtu.be/Buig4l4gy9M), and struggles with panic attacks (https://youtu.be/TE4vDPpNAiI), I learned many life lessons that I want to share with others. That is why I started this channel. Through community support, lifestyle changes, and traveling, I found the drive and strength to complete my masters from The University of Pennsylvania, PhD from UCLA, and time as a Visiting Scientist and Post Doc Researcher at Harvard University. My journey also led me to teach, research and travel to over 60 countries with significant time in Japan, China, South Africa, Costa Rica, Austria, and my own country of the USA gathering knowledge about how other people live fulfilling lives (https://youtu.be/EU23Cl5cUFo).

  1. Good luck with the quarantine 🙂 I also had two weeks of quarantine in September in Tokyo. A large room is a must.

  2. Dr.Justin, Welcome to Japan.🥳
    どうぞ、おいでませ⛩

To tell the truth, Japan is still a little difficult to immigrate, but we Japanese keep making efforts to make the country diversity and easy to live for everyone.✨

I'd like to support you, Dr.Justin.

  3. So lucky you could have entered to Japan.. How was it possible ? What kind of visa ? I'm stuck since so many months even with my CoE…

  4. How many minutes before you start telling us a story? Minutes??? It should be seconds. I see you have potential but people will click away unless you can give them more than some stock footage in the first minute. Give them a storyyyyyy. This is why your videos aren't rising in numbers. Narrative is everything, that's what people like Chris Broad understand.

  5. Welcome to Japan! You came on the night of the earthquake — what timing! We just did that whole process too (I saw your comment). If you ever get a chance to get down to Noborito, I'd love to get a coffee with you at Paz Coffee Shop!

  6. I do not miss the earthquakes. I was in Misawa during the great Tohoku earthquake. You will love Okinawa. They hardly ever have earthquakes, but when they do it’s like so,etching heavy dropped nearby and just a little shake.

  7. Merry Christmas from Kentucky!

We seem to be following the people on YouTube. 😳 Japan and Japanese people are near and dear to my heart as my friends are spread all over Japan. Mental health is not something that is easily discussed and addressed.
    Thank you!

  8. Nice vlog! So relieved you made it to Japan safely a year ago haha
    Hope to see more videos😊!
