Budapest is undoubtedly one of Europe’s most remarkable jewels, the sparkling pearl of the Danube. It’s a city with a trove full of treasures, with an expansive history that gave birth to the Buda castle district where you’d feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

On the cosmopolitan city of Pest, saunter through UNESCO-listed boulevards that feature a stunning array of Art Nouveau buildings, discover countless world-class museums that you’d want to get lost into and visit basilicas and opera houses where you’d wax lyrical under their spell. Budapest knows how to live well, and has a proclivity to sophistication. In this city, you’ll find gorgeous century-old coffeehouses and sumptuous restaurants where you can whet your appetites in the city’s gastronomy that’s brimming with cross-continental cuisines and the fantastic Hungarian food and wine scene.

This is a city that also balances lifestyle and wellbeing, where you can relax and blow some steam in some of the city’s most incredible offerings, its magical thermal waters and spas. Then, like a jewel on its crown, there’s the spectacular river Danube, one of the great rivers of the world, flowing through Budapest, with riverside banks that are so historically significant, they’re preserved as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Enjoy this latest Budapest episode, and hope you’ll be able to savour and enjoy this protean city as much as I did!

  1. Oh my! Thanks so much for ALL your marvelous videos! We moved to Lisbon in 2021 and we are now planning our Morocco 2024 vacation thanks to your recent video! Oh, wait, should we do Budapest instead . . . ? We now recommend your series to everyone thinking about moving here to Portugal—and even those who are already here and wondering what to explore next! Muito obrigado!

  2. This is one of the best travel channels I've seen. Everything from the cinematography, narration, background music, color grading, and rhythm is superb. Hope to see more of your travel videos!

  3. Superb quality videos as always and certainly going places this channel! You have been travel in Portugal from North to South, do you recommend buying a car if one lives in Portugal or even hiring a car, when visiting for couples days? Because theres lots to explore 😊

  4. I've been subscribed for years. There are people that absolutely love ASMR. I am not one of them. Though the cinematography of your videos is excellent, I just can't handle the overly articulated ASMR style narration anymore. As much as I want to watch your videos I have to unsub and wanted to let you know the honest reason why.

  5. One city I ❤ & think it beyond spectacular! I speak very basic Hungarian, blame it on the movie 'The English Patient.'

  6. this is the most relaxed travel video I've seen, so passionate about fine dining (and snacking), with refined taste in music.
Makes you want to group–travel with Janz… to skip all that stress and chaos

  7. I have just been in Budapest, for the first time. It is indeed a splendorous city, vibrant, full of history. The Danube River there is amazing, specially when compared to its channeled passage through Viena. Incredible historic buildings, especially seen illuminated at night. And with Holocaust Remembrance sights to see, reflect, pray and pass along the message: never again !

  8. I've been looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous!
