3 WEEK ITINERARY👇🏽
The order in which I visited was a bit of a crazy zigzag as we were chasing blooms but do remember if you visit in Spring for the Sakura you likely will have to be flexible in the same way! I booked accommodation with free cancellation which was so handy for this.
However, if you prefer to take it easy Sakura or not then below is the original order we were supposed to do, every single place is well worth visiting even without cherry blossom!
Tokyo – TeamLab Tokyo was a super cool experience here and you gotta tick off seeing the Shibuya scramble
Kyoto – my highlight was Kichi Kichi Omurice for dinner, SO GOOD
Osaka – must try the ten yen cheese bread and visit Osaka Castle
Hiroshima – visit the peace memorial museum; quite a harrowing experience but eye opening and such an important part of history
Miyajima – must see the floating shrine!
Nara – to break up the journey and go to Nara to see the bowing deer, also Nakatanidou for the yummiest mochi
Fuji – some of the best views I saw in Japan, Kawaguchiko was an amazing base to stay
Tokyo – another 3 nights before flying back home, Shinjuku and Nakano are such vibey areas so definitely recommend walking around and eating here

My dream vacation, a haven for introverts who appreciate fine foods and the beauty of Japanese culture. I might never come back.
