Kakunodaté-machi is a castle town located in the northern area of Senboku-heiya (plains), Senboku city, Akita prefecture. Breaking the urban area along the Tama-gawa (river) and Hinokinai-gawa (river), surrounded by mountains on three sides, this town is a tourist spot with historic Samurai residences and beautiful cherry trees and has a similar taste of “Little Kyoto of Michinoku”. This main street of Samurai residences has been designated a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings and is protected as Cultural Properties.

角館町は、秋田県仙北市の仙北平野北部に位置する城下町です。玉川と桧木内川に沿いに市街地が拓け、三方が山々に囲まれたこの町は、歴史ある武家屋敷と桜並木が美しい、まさに「みちのくの小京都」と呼ぶにふさわしい風情を漂わせた観光名所です。この武家屋敷群の表通りは、国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区の指定を受けており文化財として保護されています。
