Kanazawa is the third stop of our 9-day Japan trip. It is about one hour bus ride from Shirakawago, making it a perfect next stop after visiting Takayama or Shirakawago.

* Rest and pick up Japan Rail Pass in Narita airport or Tokyo JR station, if you pre-purchase the JR ticket online from your home country. This option allows you to use the JR pass for the Narita Express right away.

Day 2 第二天
*Check out hotel and go to 高山 (Takayama)
* Take 新幹線bullet train from 東京（Tokyo） to 高山 (Takayama). Take about 4 hours 40 minutes (change train once in 名古屋 Nagoya or 富山Toyama, depending on which 新幹線)
*Arrive and check in hotel closed to 高山 train station
* Sightseeing and relax (Old township古い町並み）
* Enjoy nice dinner (e.g. 飛騨牛肉) and hotspring in hotel
* Check the location of 高山濃飛高速 Highway bus terminal in advance
* Stay in hotel close to 高山 train station

* There are other hotels with half-board options you may prefer.

* Take 濃飛バス (Nohi Express bus) to 世界遺產白川鄉 (Shirakawa-go)

Day 4 第四天
*Take Express bus from 白川鄉 to go to 金沢 (About 2000 yen per person)

* Relax and sightseeing in 軽井沢 (Karuizawa）e.g. 旧軽井沢銀座, Prince Shopping Plaza, 白糸の滝, many special museums
* Stay in hotel close to 轻井泽（Karuizawa train station)

Option 1: Sightseeing and relax in 軽井沢 (Karuizawa)
* I highly recommend take a side trip to 草津温泉 if you can stay one more day
Option 2: Day trip to 草津温泉 by bus

*Spend half day shopping at the Prince Outlet
* check out hotel and return to Tokyo by 新幹線

*Sightseeing and enjoy gourmet food in Tokyo e.g.. 寿司、天婦羅、牛肉火鍋、Raman （Noodle） etc
Day 9 第九天
*Sightseeing and shopping and prepare for departure
* 浅草（雷門）、Tokyo Skytree, 原宿、Imperial Palace, 吉祥寺 etc
* Hotel in Tokyo Station (pick a hotel within 1 mile walking distance)
