One day, I walked around some sakura (cherry blossoms) spots in Himeji city, Hyogo prefecture Japan. The first scene is Himeji Castle, which is Japan’s very first world heritage site. Unfortunately, still we are not allowed to have “Hanami” (cherry blossoms viewing party) as of Spring 2022. However, just walking around these areas helped me remove stress and motivate myself. I hope that you will feel it and you can drop by this beautiful city sometime soon.

This motion picture was taken in this spring, wasn’t it? During living in Himeji City for 18 months about over 7 or 8 years ago, I lived in an apartment building on the edge of this moat called Sanzaemon-bori, so I used to take a walk along the flow and I thought the name of the moat is very suitable for Himeji City, reminded me of the first castle owner Terumasa Ikeda who built the castle of Himeji. And I remember that the row of cherry blossom trees was very beautiful as this picture showed. At that time, Himeji Castle was under construction for Heisei-era repair, and it was covered with curtains, but the inside was opened to the public, I carried my camera and went to see it many times and I was able to climb to the side of the top of roof by elevator and see the construction of the large roof. I was fortunate to see the castle shining in pure white after it was completed. At that time, it was crowded with many foreigners both in city center and castle park yard. I was able to talk with many people from various countries, and sometimes I was a volunteer guide. I hope that the liveliness of that time will come back. Thanks for sharing beautiful pictures with nice composition and editing and BGM. Please introduce more unknown spots in Harima region and other ones of other prefectures.
