AD – Don’t fall for these tourist traps in Japan! Themed cafes may look cool on social media but they’re expensive and the food is often disappointing. The bamboo forest in Kyoto is super crowded and doesn’t always match up to the beautiful photos you’ve seen online. Takeshita Dori is no longer the funky fashion hotspot it used to be, and you’ll have to deal with huge crowds. Plus, be wary of dodgy shops and touts trying to rip you off. But don’t worry, Japan is still one of the safest places to visit with fewer tourist traps compared to other countries. Check Skyscanner for cheap flights and come explore this amazing country!
