Great video Chuck 📹 I found a place in long an 80.000 dong 1 hour massage and it was great I still think best massage is in Thailand , food looked great safe travels
Have to negotiate in Vietnam and confirm your change.
Add 000 to prices.
Why do you need a massage, your not doing physical work? If you have an injury you go to a physiotherapist.
What was in that sandwich (Ban Mi)?
Wow you spent 3/4 of a million on lunch 😮. High rollers there😂
Hey Chuck and Paige and Thai Girl Gift and Foreigner Joe and Mike and Nicole and Daz. Looks like you all are having a great time. I was thinking the same thing about the prices. I agree that once you leave Saigon I think the prices will start coming down. It's the same in Thailand. I go to Korat and it's 150 baht for one hour back and same for a foot massage. That's 300 and I give them 500. They don't ask for a tip but I feel they need it.
Reputable massage places do not expect tips. In fact tips are most often refused outright in 90% of places.
US killed 80% of VN males during the war. They were sending women and children to fight after 1973. So VN has a young population now that rejects the norths plans and wants to integrate into the world.
Thank you for taking us with you to any places in HCM city. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the massage service and hope you will have better service at different massage services. I agree with you, "HONESTY" is the most important to run business and build trust which will gain more business in the future. Next time, i will join your group to travel to any places and have more fun in Vietnam . Hahaha you took one bite into the Banh Mi is so yummy. if it looks good and then eat ,right. hahaha.
Vietnam in about 10 yrs will Boom Big time
Bahn mi is magical❤
I would never go to that country. Ever!.. NASTY.
Hi just by watching to many people and motor vehicles looks like a ant farm. Guess I’m getting old lol
We hope to go to Da Nang later this year,we don't need all this traffic and shops will be a once only trip i prefer home in Thailand
Hi guys, lve been to Vietnam a couple of times, and I found that they're very opportunistic in tourist areas, if they can rip you off they will, especially after covid restrictions were lifted. I guess they're trying to make up for the money they lost over the last 3 years. Cutting off their nose inspite of their face, as the saying goes. It's like they don't care if they get a bad name or repeat customers 😅😅
Great video Chuck! I've been watching for Miss Kara in her green Mobile. I haven't seen her yet. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks Chuck ! I’m guessing the 500,000 including tip massage was for 2 hours. So, I used to pay 60 to 80 USD per hour back in the states ….. do the math…right. Love SEA…. Ok. B safe
Y'all stayed in the worst neighborhood.
You are right in the tourist area. Of COURSE it's going to be expensive.
The more i see of your Saigon adventure the more keen i am on going there in July. The series has been awesome so far Chuck and Paige. Cheers from Australia.
GIFT is so beautiful.
I work in TuyHoa an hour flight from Saigon. Not a tourist spot. The prices up there are way below Saigon and the locals treat me very nice, I guess it’s because I am the only farang there. I’m surprised how many people speak a bit of English, even some factory workers do. I guess wherever there are tourists they learn how to charge. I pay 100.000 (4 us) for massage up there. Vietnamese do not tip so I do not either. Same as in Thailand, only in tourist areas some pay tip, up country nobody does.
I absolutely love your video’s. Just found your channel by mistake and now I’m hooked, I’ve subscribed as well. One last thing, your music on here absolutely rocks. Keep up the good work.
The sandwich looked nice but the soup looked real good
Interesting trip you’re on. French baguette sandwich… looks tasty. Vietnamese food especially noodles is supposed to good.
Oh you're killing me with the Bahn Mi dac biet sandwiches. They truly are on of the great sandwiches of the world! Sitting here in Chiang Mai currently, preapring for my return to Chiang Rai, and retirement visa again now that the covid mess is over.
🙂
All kinds of good sandwiches in Ho Chi Min city. One of it's good features.
For sure you have to be more careful in Saigon then Bangkok and never let your guard down thinking these people are honest like in Thailand.
I remember Thailand in the food court women would leave their expensive looking purses on the table and get up to go get food , would never do that in Saigon it would be gone .
If you want to live a comfortable western style life Bangkok is cheaper the rent for quality condos much cheaper than Saigon and the food cheaper as well .
The thing that is cheaper in Saigon is the beer 43 baht for a large Tiger half price compared to Thailand .
Still Saigon definitely not a boring place
Beer in HCMC is dirt cheap, a bottle on Saigon Special in most restaurants out of the Tourist areas is around 20000 dong, when was the last time you had a night out in Bangkok? its at least double HCMC prices.
Nice one again ❤👍🇦🇺thanks .
Hi Chuck and Paige thank you for the video am enjoying your trip hope you all are to. Bread roll looked very good. Has it been hotter there than Thailand.
Nice video about Vietnam. Just one question. Is it a habit to say in "hu" in Thailand when you dont understand anything at the first time? i don't find it very friendly. Especially not when eating someone else's sandwich. 😂 Also I like the Vietnamese lady in your bunch.
You should visit hoi an. Much more laid back & you not far from Danang too. Have a fun trip guys 🙏
Hello Chuck and Paige take for a great video food looks good enjoy your time there be safe have a wonderful day
Regarding to foods price comparison to Thailand vs Vietnam..
thai restaurant given you very small amount foods and quite expensive compared to Viet restaurant given you large amount of foods
2 questions…how much was your hotel room per night and what the heck is scampay? Vietnamese seem to take life and business very seriously. It would appear customer service is on par with Western world. Clean looking area that also. I don't think the Thai's will ever really get there…maybe the younger gen?
