国道12号線は、北海道を南北に貫く幹線道路で、全長は約693キロメートルです。道路の起点は、北海道札幌市中央区の旭町交差点で、道路の終点は、北海道礼文郡礼文町の小呂島フェリー乗り場です。途中、江別市や岩見沢市、旭川市、留萌市、そして稚内市など、多くの市町村を通過します。冬季は豪雪地帯があるため、交通渋滞や通行止めになる場合があるため、運転には注意が必要です。国道12号線沿いには、美しい自然や景色、温泉地、歴史的建造物、観光スポットなどが点在しており、ドライブ旅行には最適なルートとなっています。

About National Route 12

National Route 12 is a trunk road that runs through Hokkaido from north to south, with a total length of approximately 693 kilometers. The road starts at the Asahimachi intersection in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, and ends at the Oroshima ferry terminal in Rebun-cho, Rebun-gun, Hokkaido. The road passes through many cities, towns, and villages along the way, including Ebetsu City, Iwamizawa City, Asahikawa City, Rumoi City, and Wakkanai City. In winter, heavy snowfall in some areas can cause traffic jams and road closures, so be careful when driving. National Route 12 is dotted with beautiful nature, scenery, hot springs, historical buildings, and sightseeing spots, making it an ideal route for a road trip.
