Off-Piste Skiing Japan: the powder of Hakuba! Two feet of fresh powder dropped on the Japanese Alps overnight and kept dumping another 2ft over the day; it was time to hit Happo-One’s off-piste terrain. And when the powder dumped again two days later, we headed into the new TRZ zone in Hakuba 47!

And the end of the day the Hakuba Onsen Spas refreshed the mind and muscles, the Japanese food – Sushi, Sashimi and Udon – the beer and sake refuelled the body; All ready to hit the off-piste powder once again!

Skiing Hakuba is Part 2 of our Japan adventure.

Part 1 is our trip through Tokyo and Kyoto. https://youtu.be/fU1oo1zgiv4

Part 3 is the skiing and trip from our 6-year old son Aiden’s perspective. https://youtu.be/JHzXMtspjC0

We have unfinished business in Hakuba: the backcountry skiing. We’ve just booked out flights, we’re heading back next winter!

Filmed with the GoPro Hero 4 Black, Canon 5D Mark III and Canon EOS M.

Hope you enjoy!
