We take a one-hour bus ride from Uji Station to visit the famous Shojusenji Temple, which features a heart-shaped Inome window, as well as the iconic Phoenix Hall at Byodo-in Temple.
We then take a leisurely stroll along the cherry blossom-lined banks of the Uji River before heading to Fushimi Inari, where we venture deep into the forest to capture the perfect shot of the famous Senbon Torii gates.
