Start your day off in Asakusa, known for traditional craft shops, food stalls, and the ancient Senso-Ji Temple!
–
Just walking down Nakamise-dori Street you can feel the nostalgic vibes. Here you can shop for souvenirs and eat at the stalls lining the street.
–
During your visit at Senso-Ji Temple, which is free entry btw, you can admire this ancient temple and the other shrines nearby in the complex. Itβs a great place for photos, learning some culture, and trying out the nearby restaurants.
–
There are lots of O-mikuji or random fortunes you can receive and instructions on how to properly go through the process. You do pay a small fee of 100 yen ($0.75 usd). If you get a bad fortune just tie it off and the misfortune will go away!
–
After Asakusa take a short 10 min train ride to Akihabara, known for itβs electronic retailers, anime, manga, and video games!
–
Akihabara is the hub for all things video games and anime. Play at one of the many arcades which brands include Taito Station, Gigo, and Leisureland!
–
Akihabara is also home to maid cafes! A maid cafe is where the hostessβs dress up in maid outfits and serve you drinks/desserts laced with βlove spellsβ! Give it a try to have a unique experience!
–
See you in Day 3!
