Royal Independence Gardens become a very popular spot for both locals and tourists to spend some time outside with their friends and families. There are gardens, a pagoda, shrines, bats, a river, a tourist information centre and a cafe. Everything you need to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the space.
Royal Residence just opposite, but this isn’t open to tourists.

Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom Temple is located on the territory of the Royal Residence. Where since 1982 two statues called Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chorm have been worshiped.
The statues of Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chorm were both bronze statues rediscovered in 1950 in the forest around Angkor Thom by Angkor conservation officials. It is believed that the statue of Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chorm were originally kept in the temple of Angkor Wat.
