A walk around downtown Toronto start at Yonge and Bloor. I head south down Yonge Street and pop into Dundas Square and then it’s west on Dundas to Grange Park.

Queen street is great with the sheer number of stores, King street a bit of a hidden gem, love the Chinatown/Kensington is the Disney land of Toronto, but for some reason we found ourselves a lot on Bloor st as it was very comfortable. It had the ROM, a lot of used book stores, Koreatown for part of it, it is just a nice street over all.

Had an amazing time visiting my hometown Toronto with my family two weeks ago. 16 years had passed since last time. Great weather, great entertainment, great people! Till we meet again!
The city never came back from Covid. Office buildings 20% empty. TTC (Buses, Subways) have 50% fewer passengers than before Covid. The ultra high real estate prices encouraged people to leave the city and work from Remote. Toronto faces a Billion Dollar short fall in the budget. I know the city well, and it has lost several intangebles.. The city just seems to be filled with old people sitting on their house equity. Kinda sad.
Things you can do for Covid might be…steam vacuum your home, burn a clean tealight to clear the air once daily. Use vicks around your nose and chest. Wash your nose and nostrils. Alwasy use a clean tissue, kleenex to clean your nose. Then take the Covid test again. If you are not vaccinated get vacinated check with a local public school, clinic or pharmacy. The kits are often free. Burn incense in your home once a week or as needed. The first week you may want to burn incense several times or once a day. If you live in an appartment, the only thing recommended is steam vacuum your home flooring and walls and even change your mattress and be sure to use laundry detergent. Don't forget to wash your pillows. Dye your hair at home. Be sure to trim and cut your hair. You may want to start first by bleaching your hair and then coloring it again. Trim your nails, get new shoes, powder the shoes with an antifungal when appropriate.
Why are all the shops closed. The city needs to get involved and lease out all space for 300$ a month, the city pays the difference using gas dollars and other measure like an airport tax…that should be $100 (the airport in return offer Wellness Centers (fitness centers 24/7, a meal at any of their full service restaurants or a buffet etc; toronto knows service better than I do), yes, the airport tax to arrive at Toronto..that includes city services like museum, street maintenance etc. It's also an easy way to salvage a mall, people are eager to go into business when the city too is involved and has a vested interest. The 300$ rent/lease plan is for 2 to 6 years till the economy picks up. Now empty locations too can be used as small factories to make things. Cook all your meals at home. Also inspect your grocery stores. If you dont have a Walmart, you may need one again. Nice try by whomever closed them.
Everytime NYC goes bankrupt, the first things to get shut off, all the electronic bill boards. Detroit goes bankrupt on a 5 to 10 year cycle and get this, Detroit doesn't have billboards..haha
Notice you have too many restaurants, in Miami many restaurants like central America are drug riddent and do not sell food, you may get a lap dance instead…well, if you're not a PI. The rule for average wages is, you eat once a week out, maybe twice depending on your job, but most should be cooking at home their dinner. That was a long time ago. However, now after COVID everything is more expensive or was now, I think the prices are comming down a little bit. Bicycles get a lane on the sidewalk because they're not motorized same with the new ones that are semi motorized, same with skateboards. The rules are when crossing the street or when there are too many pedestrians then bikers and skateboarders walk too.
You forgot to say, "I just flew in from Asia and boy are my arms tired!" 😊
Welcome back to Toronto!
I'm so glad this Covid BS is done and life is getting back to normal.
Dang I'm only on my first break I wish I would have seen this earlier to be continued when I get home tonight
