Nagatoro is located in the Chichibu Area and is two hours from Tokyo, It is a great day trip. The town is located on the scenic Arakawa River. One of the key attractions is taking a river boat trip. The boat travels through a section called The Iwadatami Rocks. The rocks are up to 80 metres wide and up to 50 metres long and resemble a laid out tatami mat. There is also an unusual shopping lane leading down to the river from the train station.
