The Limited Express Haruka
From Umekita (Osaka) Underground Station to Kyoto Station

The new underground platform in the redevelopment zone north of the station is served by two limited express trains: Haruka, which connects to Kansai Airport; and Kuroshio, which heads toward Wakayama. Previously, neither of these services connected directly to Osaka Station, meaning passengers had to change at Shin-Osaka Station or Tennoji Station. The opening of the new platform provides improved access to Kyoto, Wakayama and Kansai Airport.

nice! , ah so it is possible reserving haruka express from ticketing machine (and return ticket as well), best of all now haruka express make a stop @ osaka umekita underground !

Looks like the transfer in Tengachaya is very straightforward, which makes it an easier and less walk than Namba for those who want to transfer between Osaka metro and the Nankai line.

hi Shiba shiba, greetings from USA. My husband and I am visiting Kyoto and Osaka on October this year. If I ride Haruka from Kyoto Station to Namba Osaka, it transits at Umeda Osaka, do I need to buy another ticket from Umeda Osaka to Namba station?
