Bonjour à tous!
Welcome to this new trip report, where we will travel across France with Ouigo, I know it’s the third video onboard this train BUT, it’s been a while since I haven’t recorded Ouigo, so I wanted to make a new one with modern standards! Plus 19€ to cross ALL France is definitely worth a video 😎
Enjoy 🙂

Rode on a Ouigo, it was nice. Ouigo app is kinda clunky though, always asking me to log on somehow.
That's f*cking insane for 20euro. Shinkansen is hundreds for similar distance
My wife will puke if she has to ride backwards. Is there any way to pre arrange forward facing seating?
from my experience, even though it’s a bit louder on the lower decks on duplex, there is less people passing trough your cab to go to the bar for example as the only way to cross cab is on the upper deck. it results in a much smoother and quieter travel. ( the doors dont open every 10 seconds) 8:00
Morocco has the same type train am I right?
Nice video! I loved the format, it is really comforting to be able to hear the sounds of the train. Thanks.
They can't afford that price for that distance in the UK!
Hey, at the end, if you take the train on your right, chances are you'll end up in my country 😉
Thank you for sharing your experience. It is interesting to know that this isn't too bad, even if I am not sure that I could spend almost 5 hours in this train with luggage stopping me to stretch my legs and paid services for everything including… electricity 😀
But it's worth thinking it over.
Dave Gilmour wrote a song using the sncf jingle, here it is https://youtu.be/L1v7hXEQhsQ
Meanwhile in Germany, DB is the only option, is very expensive and totally non reliable. I do not remember when was the last time I used DB and they arrived on time. They do not even care if they are late and if that maybe causes some other connection issues for the passengers. So, this is obviously another level of service in France. Good job France!
I'm meant to be taking one of these between Paris and Lyon in a couple of weeks time. I might be taking the bus though because of the train strikes!
saw allot of those in Lille Flandres, and i believe in Tournai and Brussels if im not mistaken or was it the other trains
Crossing France to go to …. THE SHITTIEST FRENCH CITY !!!
Not for me ! Thank you !
well, sadly that is not the reality we experience each time we need to book a train here in France, let me tell you, the price is more often 80 or 160Eur than 16Eur, for just 1/3 of this distance. OF course if you are totally free in your date/time choices you may be able to book a travel for cheap, but the vast majority of travels are very expensive, often more than airplane.
The train is rather noisy. But for that price who can complain.
I really hope this will be the future of High speed rail in the U.S.! I have an acquaintance visiting Disneyland Paris who was also at the Star Wars Celebration in London. This is the Econo-Lodge of trains and for the value its well worth it. Thanks again!
I love Lille but last there in the early 90s when EuroLille was being completed.
Such a pleasant smaller city!
Incredible the stupidity of that guy… he paid $19 and is crying that he wait 5minute in line… is he american?
8:20 Ah, a man of taste and culture. Nine-Nine! 😊
That speed is just crazy
Low price 😂😂😂 I payed 200€ to go to Aix en Provence
13:45 in China it's possible to take a ride on the train between Beijing to Nanjing, which supposedly covers the 1000+km in just under 3hrs 15min. Mental!
THANKS LOVED IT!!!
Is the seat reservation included, or is it first come first served?
This same distance would have cost $100 in USA
Japan had (until 2021) a double decker Shinkansen called the max toki (E4 series) that would travel from Tokyo to Niigata on the tohoku and joetsu Shinkansen. Great trains with a distinct geometry. Max speed 240 km/h
Why didn't this exist in 2013 when I was a broke college student in France?? So much better than taking a plane or a bus, but those were the only cheap options at the time. I would have loved to have been able to pop down to Marseille from Paris on one of these bad boys.
Is Ouigo a combination of the French word for yes, oui, and the English word go?
Any catering onboard or wifi?
How is it possible such a low fare? Is it subsidized?
4h30 pour ~850km pour seulement ~15$ CAD et aucun transfert! Incroyable!
germany needs an equivalent to this tbqh
