  1. Simple! If you can't communicate with the natives, Better to learn their language. That's how you show them respect.

  2. Only way to have growth for Japanese companies is to embrace Rakuten culture, skilled people is not going to spend years learning hiragana katakana and kanji for a job because they can get even higher salaries than in Japanese companies learning something else like a new tech stack.

  10. I think they are just reluctant to the Japanese language or way too lazy to learn it.
I mean they should try learning Japanese so that they can socialize better and do all the everyday tasks easily..

  11. Give Indians a break guys. We usually already are multilingual. Most know minimum 2-3 languages easily. If we don't want to add another one, don't judge us.

Plus, I am sure they already know basic Japanese but not enough to hold a conversation with a Japanese speaker and consequently make friends.

  12. Typical Hindi wallas..refuses to learn anything other than Hindi and English probably because that feeds them. At least Bangalore is India, why even do the same shit in Japan too after 3 years?

  13. They don't need it for work soooo. I live in the US and speak english, french, Hindi, Punjabi and make effort to even try spanish. The only ones I have never seen make any effort to even pronounce my name correctly in 15+ years are Americans. All the westerners commenting to learn a language are also the ones who themselves pit in zero effort and are ride and ignorant. This arrogance is very typical western attitude.

  14. Better learn Japanese if you are planing to stay in Japan longer
And it's the only way you can experience culture and people of Japan

  15. People in comments are immature 😂 he already knows atleast 3 launguage in India. it is hard to learn tough language like Japanese.

  16. You are completely in different country and you never tried to learn their language (atleast a bit)?
