This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

  1. New to the channel but really enjoying your content, particularly the transparency & no sponsorship rule.

You probably get asked this a lot, but what’s your process as to finding available business class fares using points/miles?

Seems to be an especially challenging/complicated process. Seem to never find available rewards flights even 11 months in advance.

  2. Another fantastic report on a really good product. Again done in your by now absolutely professional format, starting with the seat map, the route information and info on the airline. And a really nice , systematic and consecutive narrative. The por medaillions looked wonderful..and once i saw them i realized like struck by lightning what i have been missing for 10 years on my favourite Gulf airlines😂 To find La Grande Dame in Business Class seems unique to me..it is typically a First Class Champagne. Wines though were typical business class, like a 2015 Bordeaux. The more i watched it the more i thought: would like to try them. But then, at the end, came the total spoiler, which you had nicely hinted before: they locked these silly 787 windows..an absolut NO GO for me. I would never ever fly an airline knowing they do this. Did you ask for your window to be unlocked? It worked for me when i was once trapped on such a flight. Hope your luggage has arrived!

  3. I love EVA and seeing you on this flight made me happy but also really sad that I have not been on an EVA plane for a long while. Their staff is by far the best that I have experienced in the air and on ground.

  4. Have flown EVA Business Class Twice, both times SFO to TPE on their 777. Yes, you are right, excellent experience.

  5. I could not agree with you more. EVA biz on this route/aircraft is better than most first class. Simply incredible. Thank you for your video. LOL AUA Service in VIE.

  6. Funny Fact : 9.41% of EVA Air Stock is owned by STARLUX Airlines founder and he was the former boss of EVA Air and B777 pilot

  7. Kevin, I guess that you are one of the few youtubers who travels on self-funding status. It makes your reports absolutely honest and reliable, in my humble opinion. Please, keep doing this good job. Also thank you for showing the incredible page called "Aerolopa", with the most extensive and detailed info on seating plans!
Kevin, FYI, the "wet towel" is a Japanese hospitality tradition, known as Oshibori. It was introduced in the airline industry following the Japanese etiquette. Its main and sole purpose is to sanitize one's hands and should never be used to clean one's face nor one's neck, as I sometimes witness here on youtube.
And let's talk about this amenity kit. Wow, Salvatore Ferragamo is one of the best luxury brands on the planet Earth.

  8. The EVA mileage club calls itself “Infinity Miles” yet it expires a passenger’s miles. If “ infinity” does not imply time, what else could it be? Distance? Depth of a trap?

Try using their online system and one begins to realize the similarities between EVA and ANA: both pretend to be meticulous but only to the point of being annoying; their being officious and petty come under the guise of false professionalism. Some eastern mystique…

  9. Wow what a wonderful flight. I often fly EVA but on their 777 which was also good. The 787 has more cutting edges. EVA product is better than China Airlines as they offer better quality of food and amenities – China Airlines on the other hand has better interior. My new favorite is actually Starlux. It feels a step up above EVA- strong focus on Taiwanese food and the food quality is even better. Starlux crew also seems more passionate about what they do. Can't wait for your reivew on their long haul flight 🙂

  10. Yes, EVA AIR really does fantastic jobs on their flights, its products are a great combination of Oriental attentiveness & Western stylishness. The Taiwanese airline has never disappointed me up till now.

  11. Man, this is the first video I watch from you, and I absolutely loved it. I'm living in Taiwan, so Eva is my fav airlines. Flew in J with them on the B789 to Milan last Christmas (finally got good used of the miles) and I was blown away too. Still using the PJs at home haha. If only they increase the offer on the IFE and improve the app (which is quite slow and limited with functions), it would be just there at the top. But soft and hard products are just that good.

  12. All these amenity kits are a complete waste of $$…you are not getting it for free and included in the fare…along with everything you get…so why do passengers act like it's all for free? The better the food, drinks, service etc etc…the more expensive the ticket…That's the reason US carriers are cheaper..you get less and also pay less..

  13. Unfortunately they don't serve the Grand Dame champagne anymore. On my flight from Amsterdam to Bkk I had another brand and and it tasted like cork. Probably a bad batch of champagne that was too old and not good anymore.
