I love this sort of thing! I'll have to put this on list of experiences to have at some point. Maybe I'll plan an all-Shikoku holiday at some point. It's a beautiful region for winding down and enjoying nature for a change 😍
Btw, Gorou station reminded me of something. Can't quite put my finger on it. Is there some obscure interesting thing nearby that was in a video a while ago maybe? (could be from somebody else…) I can't stand not remembering something 😀

I always find the greetings in the train stations very nice. We don't have anything like that here. Is that only done on excursion trains like this?

This looks like it would be a perfect for the very first excursion to take on your first visit to Japan. Great scenery and everybody seems extra enthusiastic. Don't think I've seen anyone lining the streets on any of the other specialty trains waving as you appraoch.
