In this short video, I show you what I saw at Kinkaku-ji before the tourists arrived. This is a sacred Buddhist temple that’s usually very crowded, but on this particular day, it was deserted. The Golden Pavilion is incredibly serene in the morning light.
If you’re in Kyoto and haven’t yet visited Kinkaku-ji, you need to go! This temple is so incredible that it’s usually full of tourists, but on this day, we managed to get there before most of the tour groups so it was quiet!
