Just a few days prior to the journey, the aircraft was changed unexpectedly. I had anticipated traveling in the latest Air France Business Class configuration, which resembled the one we reviewed during our trip to Tahiti/Papeete (link below). However, on that specific day, Air France operated one of their older Boeing 777 aircrafts to Singapore. Typically, this particular configuration is reserved for flights between Paris and Caribbean destinations.
Although the hard product quality was lacking, Air France upheld its high standards for the soft product with excellent service and top-notch food and wine selections. Air France offers 10 direct flights per week from Paris to Singapore.
The Business Class on their older Boeing 777 aircrafts boasts a 2-3-2 configuration with well-cushioned seats that have adjustable headrests and leg rests. While entertainment options are limited to older individual screens, passengers can still relish in a delightful gourmet dining experience.
Air France enables travelers to pre-book their meals in advance through their account. Regrettably, customers who didn’t pre-order beef were unable to select it, even if it was offered on the menu.

I'm curious if AF compensates in any form for such vast difference on the hard product. This would be a seat frequent fliers will actively avoid.

When did this flight occur? I was under the impression that all of the 777s on Air France have already been retrofitted to reverse herringbone.
