Welcome to San Juan, Puerto Rico! This charming and alluring Caribbean destination is home to a rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture. From the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, to the sundrenched Isla Verde Beach, to the street food trucks at Lote 23, this city is a beautiful blend of activities anyone can enjoy.

Then, we’re packing it up and heading outside the city to explore more of Puerto Rico’s natural beauty and culture. We’re exploring the lush greenery and waterfalls of El Yunque National Forest, exploring the island’s incredible street food culture in Luquillo and Piñones, and even going island-hopping off the coast of Fajardo.
Along the way, we’re eating and drinking our way across Puerto Rico, and indulging in local favorites like alcapurria, bacalaito, mofongo, piña coladas, and lechon.
So come with me and my good friend and fellow traveler Mariel de Viaje as we explore one of the Caribbean’s most exciting travel destinations. Let’s go to San Juan, Puerto Rico!

I came across your channel because I was recommended your Tokyo vlog 2 days ago. Now I’m hooked 💪😁
Hey David. Enjoying this Vlog. Hubby and I actually took this mixology class at the Bicardi plant. Made 3 full sized drinks each and drank all 3. We left there lit 🤪😂. The food is quite yummy. Those drinks that I don’t taste the alcohol creeps up on me. 😝 Thanks so much. Watching and enjoying. Enjoy your Friday and see you next video 🍸🥃🍹🧉. EDIT- I’m back at the end. In Guyana (at least my family) calls blood sausage black pudding like PR made with blood. My aunt introduced me to white pudding here in Brooklyn which she said is made with milk. Amazing flavors for both. I eat both but favor the white pudding better.
Fyi – Don Q & Ron del barrilito are more popular with Puerto Ricans , Bacardi is just better at marketing but doesn't taste as good. Also , lechonera El cunao is a better spot …
Happy happy Friday David. Well, I can't make any comment right now. Just wanted to check in with you to make sure everything is ok. I now have three docs. to watch so I will be busy. I am way behind but I am trying to watch them all at once. All my comments will come later. In the meantime, have a great and blessed weekend. God's blessings to the rest of your family as well.🙏✌️❤️🇹🇹🇨🇦

Thank you for this great, informative, and fun video, of my island of Puerto Rico. So good to see you doing videos closer to home. I am so jealous, I am from the town of Aguada which is the west side of Puerto Rico, there is a pretty large airport in Aquadilla which is also close to Rincon, which is the surfing capital!!! Please visit that area sometime.
Guavate can't wait to go again haven't been there since 1995 when my hubby died by suicide it wasn't a happy time but maybe in the near future GOD willing be blessed. CAYEY, PUERTO RICO
Just got back from a 7 day trip, second time going. I love Puerto Rico 😊 was my first solo trip.
Very nice 🤓👍
Sorry to say but Mofongo is fried aswell… lol. Fried Green Plantains mashed with garlic ect.. And Pionono is "Maduros" a fried sweet plantain 😊
Marielllll we love you and glad to see you en Mi Isla!!! Que viva Mexico!!!
Hola David. Happy Sunday. Just finished watching Puerto Rico. Very nice indeed. Puerto Rico , as far as I can see and the places you visited are really beautiful. The blue waters of the ocean are so inviting. All that food, too much fried and greasy food for me, but you enjoyed it a lot. Mariel is a trip, so funny. She knows how to enjoy herself. I see a few similarities to the food in Trinidad, like the blood pudding: Trinidad blood/black pudding has no rice, the mofungo: fufu. Not much home cooking though; mostly street and restaurant food. Can't wait to see you do the documentary about your visit to Trinidad. So, now I have two more docs. to watch. BTW, that sunburn was horrible. You have to put on the sunblock at least half to one hour before going out in the sun, and then repeat. Have a blessed Sunday. 🙏✌️❤️🇹🇹🇨🇦
David, you made me miss my Puerto Rican food. I can make many dishes but it’s great to have someone else make it😊 thanks for another great video. My next trip to Puerto Rico I’m definitely going to stay at that hotel. Are used to have a timeshare in San Juan now. I’ve course I’m so hungry.
The Mofongo is also fried. They fried plantains and then mash them and add seasoning. You can find all those foods also when you go to New York where I grew up lots of Latin restaurants. Of course is better in Puerto Rico.😊
I plan to go soon and have no idea where to go thx for helping out
Nice Honeymoon guys!!!
