We finally arrived in Osaka! We are slowing down our travels a bit with a ton to see in this area. We will be in Osaka for a full month and have so much planned! Join us this week as we show our 2 bedroom Japanese Apartment, beautiful cherry blossoms around the legendary Osaka Castle and surrounding gardens, as well as hand feeding deer in the famous Nara Park.

Here is some helpful information so you can build your Japan Itinerary!
Where we stayed: Naniwa-Ku! This area is just southwest and walking distance of Dotonbori, a must visit (Multiple Times!) when staying in Osaka! Naniwa-Ku is also quiet but close to two train stations making it easy to get around and see all of what Osaka has to offer!
Osaka Castle! Go on a weekday to avoid some of the crowds and bring cash to eat some of the delicious street food. Osaka is famous for Takoyaki so why not give it a try in a fantastic park near tons of cherry blossoms. Nara Park! Where we were able to hand feed and pet the wild deer. Nara park is so filled with history and has many immaculate temples including world heritage sites.
Kōfuku-ji – Shrine with the Tower, errr, Pagoda!
Yoshikien Garden – A breath of fresh air and quiet from the crowds. The beautiful garden with the tea house!
Tōdai-ji – Buddhist temple with giant statues! Make sure to bring cash because there is an entrance fee!
Kasuga-taisha – A Shinto Shrine that has been classified as a World Heritage Site!
Nakatanidou – The Mochi shop where you can get super traditional fresh made Mochi! The powder is actually roasted and sweetened soybean flour!

  1. It looks like so much fun. I have never heard a deer sound like that in my life though that’s quite scary.!!
