Join me on an exciting food adventure on the streets of Kuala Lumpur as I search for the best Hari Raya street food!

In this episode, I tried the famous lemang from Lemang Daun Lerek Greenwood, which is known for its unique cooking method using daun lerek instead of the traditional banana leaf.

Not only does the daun lerek prevent the glutinous rice from sticking to the bamboo cylinder, but it also makes it so much easier to extract the lemang. The result is a soft and creamy rice texture that’s simply irresistible.

The crowds of people waiting to buy the lemang were growing by the hour as the Hari Raya celebrations were approaching.

Be sure to check out Lemang Daun Lerek Greenwood if you’re in Kuala Lumpur during Hari Raya or any other time of the year for an unforgettable food experience.

they can cook rendang at home but making lemang is difficult so people prefer to just buy

  4. The leaf that you pull out is not banana leaf. It is lerek leaf (daun). The lemang itself is called lemang daun lerek. Usually seller used banana leaf, but lemang daun lerek is uncommon.
