Sugarfire and Pappys are the top two BBQ places in St Louis, Missouri.
Do not forget CROWN CANDY. Landmark of ST. LOUIS and try to stay away from North St Louis and North County if your White.

I was born and raised in St Louis mainly in North county and also St Charles county but about a year ago I moved to my lake house in the Ozarks…… I kind of regret my decision because I'm homesick I Miss St Louis
LOL I went up in the arch again after elementary school as an adult that's when I realized I was kind of claustrophobic lol ๐ and it was really windy that day I was not having a good time it felt like that thing was moving one foot to the one side to the other
I grew up in St Louis. As a kid I was ignorant of the rich history of the culinary brilliance and past as an art center in the post civil war era. I watched, from many miles away the assembly of the arch. I saw, we saw the keystone being placed from our playground. This was Wright School in Ladue. The most acclaimed restaurant at the time was a place called Port St Louis. Originally located in Gaslight Square. There were restrictions on the businesses that leased out properties at the time. Huge fees if you left–The city wanted these businesses to stay. Port St Louis wanted out to relocate to Clayton. The loophole was if anyone bought-out a business then that owner was free to leave. My dad bought the lease.. Then found another lessee for the property. They both made a win-win exchange. If you've got the time look up the painter Joseph Rustling Meeker. A St Louis icon. Unbeatable story.

Iโm excited to see the restaurants you ate at. My family and I visited STL recently and ate at many great restaurants while there. We would love to try new places when we go back.
