Complete scenic drive up to Dobbins Lookout in South Mountain Park and Preserve in the City of Phoenix, Arizona. We begin near the park entrance and drive the twisty mountain road up to Dobbins Lookout, then head back down to the park entrance.

This drive was filmed in late-March.

  1. My house is due north from Dobbins Lookout. About 3-4 miles as the crow flies. I have a great view of it from my house. Thanks for filming this. I am an Ogden Utah transplant since 1986. I Love watching your videos. Thank you for this and all your videos❣️👏😍

  2. 아름다운 아리조나 멎진 드라이브 최고입니다It is the best drive in beautiful Arizona.

  3. About the end of your little movie, here, "AED": It's really eerie on your return on Stephen T. Mather Drive, as you leave the Park, it's like a light switch was thrown–BLAMMO(!!)–you've left the ethereal wonderlands of the Saguaros, and were already in suburban Phoenix!

It looks like all those crazy ETC storms not only slammed California, but powered in across much of the desert provinces, too. Amazing!! It's obviously not a common thing, for one to see this desert to be so greened up as it is, and I do so hope that you're savoring this rare beauty with as much power to savor it as you can muster.

Not only at Dobbins, but I saw similar stone viewing huts scattered all over, on other peaks and promontories in this Park. They do look like some of the handiwork of FDR's CCC lads from about 90 years ago. They did many grand works; our hinterlands wouldn't be quite as inviting and hospitable, if not for their efforts. Gee, I'd never seen quite as many Television, Civilian Entertainment Radio, First Responder's, and, Military Masts as what are located upon that mountain peak. Possibly some of them are Aviation Helpers, too.

Those bicyclists are so lucky to be enjoying their excursions as we saw them on this day. In six short weeks, the desert heat may return with a vengeance, to make them miserable and then they will have to wait all the way until November rolls around.

  4. You should see that view at night, it's amazing. The first time my late husband and I drove up there we were still dating and fell asleep. Didn't wake up till someone tapped on the glass to see if we were ok lol. Good memories <3

  5. G'day. From NSW Australia. Yet another quality road trip video from the masters of quality road trip videos. Here in Australia, our scenery is mostly nowhere as spectacular as that of the American South West. Question. Why are there so many Radio Towers on the top of Dobbins ?

  6. Great vdo !!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!! its like being there…. . What month of the year this was filmed in ???
