Mount Fuji is our last stop is sadly Japan! We weren’t sure if it would be all the hassle to make it out to Fujiyoshida but it certainly was! The weather was absolutely perfect and we had such a clear view of Mount Fuji. Despite the nearly 6 hours of total travel throughout the day, it was well worth the addition to our itinerary. We will say though, if the weather wasn’t so nice it probably would have felt like more of a let down. So if you are making plans to do Mt Fuji as a day trip from Tokyo, make sure you check the weather and plan accordingly!
We made to Japan just in time for cherry blossom season which made for an absolutely wonderful time. Japan was our 19th country since starting our year around the world and marks the beginning of the 7th month of consecutive travel. It feels like just yesterday we were leaving the Minneapolis Airport to head to Costa Rica. After our time in Japan we left for India, which was a complete opposite vibe! Its still so beautiful there. I was there for a weekend back in 89. It really got expensive but worth a weekend visit. Lots of street vendors there was trying to sell you something.
