  1. We did this place once, pre-covid. Finally talked my husband into going and such a let down. Habachi chef was great however when it came to the rice our meal took a quick turn. Both my husband and my sons bowl had a long black hair nestled in the rice. 🤦‍♀️. We alerted our wait staff and a manger came out. She was very rude, offered no discount or replacement. Basically we were rushed out quickly as I’m sure they didn’t want what had happened privy to surrounding diners. My husband had a very hard time paying for the meal that day. It was an overall bad experience.

  2. This is teppanyaki, not hibachi. Hibachi is cooking over a grill over charcoal or wood fire. Teppanyaki is cooking on a steel plate

  3. When I graduated from Navy Recruit Training (i.e. Boot Camp), my parents took me to Epcot for Unaccompanied Leave. Teppan Edo was where we had dinner. The food was wonderful. It was my first experience with warm Sake, so I did not understand why it was so small, and how I managed to polish it off so quickly. In retrospect, it's a marvel that I managed to get down the stairs, and, likewise, across the Quarterdeck at the barracks, without falling down.

  4. Ryno is right on with there being better hibachi options outside the Disney bubble. The "show" was cute, but it's less than what your used to if you've eaten at other hibachi places. No fire tricks, no throwing shrimp, etc.. I also wish they made fried rice on the grill and gave you that with the udon instead of the white rice.

  5. Wow! This was the first time I think I have EVER seen a female chef at a Hibachi restaurant (and we’ve probably been to either of our local Benihanas twice a year for decades as well as locations in Las Vegas and the Los Angeles area)! Oh, and the prices you paid are actually Lower than the one at the old Las Vegas Hilton!

  6. Fun dining review. I have been twice. Not lately. Probably only because of the make up of my dining party and/or because there are so many other dining choices in EPCOT. I do think Teppan Edo is a solid/safe choice. But like Ryno also commented- I can go to the local teppan table restaurant near where I live. But I do think it does hold its value for the options it offers. Safe bet. Now if you asked me to dine at Teppan Edo or Coral Reef (I haven't yet tried Coral Reef), I'd pick Teppan Edo.

  7. Hey team have you ever considered doing some offsite reviews? We ate at a Korean BBQ spot near the Universal resort that was to die for!

  8. It's always been good enough for what it is, but of course, when EPCOT opened it was more unique as aside from major cities with Benihanas in them the style was not as well known to the average American diner. The last time WE ate there a couple of years ago was as part of a combo package with reserved area tickets for the annual Christmas Candlelight ceremony, and from the location to the ease of timing THAT was a deal worth paying for. In that context, I'd go again. Otherwise? Meh–like you said nothing WRONG just nothing "right" enough to compare to the more exotic things in EPCOT. One thing you didn't mention that I could look up but….do those prices go up when it becomes "Dinner" instead of "lunch"??

  9. Omg Ryno’s “yummy yummy” at the very end made me spit out my drink I laughed so hard

  10. Thanks for the review. I have a suggestion for future reviews. Pete used to rate his reviews based on a 0-10 score, 10 being the best. It would be helpful to apply that same rating system for future reviews. Thanks 😊

  11. Erica 🔥….and love the shirt Craig. And wow the crowds walking behind you…nada..zilch…love it.

  12. I went here a few years ago and it was very good, but not way better than local hibachi around the area, but if you like being in Disney, it's good if you don't mind the price

  13. I'm with you. It's perfectly serviceable, but nothing I'd go out of the way for. There are so many other places I'd go when at Disney World.

  14. I agree I have eaten there and I thought the show that they put on was much better than the food… The food was just basic. Nothing spectacular.

  15. I ate there as a teenager in the 90s, and I remember enjoying it, but we have so many Hibachi places here in Northeast Pennsylvania that I never felt the need to go back. We almost did in 2020, but switched to Chefs de France and def didn't regret it

  16. We tried Teppan Edo last year since I love hibachi. We had a large party so we were at our own table which was nice. Service was ok. The lady was extremely nice but very short with us. I do not count that against her because you could tell they were stretched thin on staff. Food was also “meh”. I understand they’re cooking for a wide variety of people so it’s got to be basic but it was bland. I can find better hibachi locally for cheaper. If you’re looking for a safe option to try hibachi for your first time or don’t have hibachi back home, this is an ok place to go, but just know there are better alternatives.

  17. I look at it this way, when the restaurant opened middle America was not going to have a ton of Hibachi restaurants but now that they are more wide spread this is just an ok choice, not a wow. And that is ok, just know it going in.

  18. I love your dining reviews. I think you guys should really do more of them. I think it really Adds to the channel more than some of the other items (respectfully.)😊

  19. This was a very good, honest review. I ate there while on vacation many years ago, and was very disappointed. I remember my steak and chicken being very dry. It was nice to see a female chef. On that note, she seemed very entertaining. I live in central NJ, and there is a Japanese steakhouse near the Jersey shore that tops all others. It’s in Brick, NJ, and has been around for years. It’s always crowded, and consistently good! It’s called IKKO Japanese Steakhouse. They have a hibachi side and a sushi side. The amount of food each person gets on the hibachi side is incredible. While your entree selection is being cooked, everyone gets a clear soup, salad with ginger dressing and a huge portion of hibachi noodles and rice. They are simply delicious! It’s worth the trip if you are near Ocean County, New Jersey.

  20. The lady chef would drive me crazy ! The cutesy act isn’t what the usual teppanyaki show is like .

  21. Enjoyed the review. Ryno mentioned Passholder 10% discount, however it is available for lunch only and certain holidays are also blocked out. We learned the hard way some time ago.

  22. That restaurant has always been a hard pass for me. I'd rather go off property for a meal like that
