I personally find Ichiran to be overhyped and overpriced ramen shop. There are many other mom and pop's ramen shops all over the city with better taste and more affordable price. The experience itself basically just meh for me and my wife, sitting on a single booth with partitions, where is the fun in that? I personally prefer eating ramen in Yatai style stalls, originated also from Fukuoka, where I can chit chat with other Japanese locals, although with my very limited Japanese language.
My advice would be, if this is your first time trying Hakata style ramen and want to experience something unique, go to Ichiran. Service was good, ordering was simple with English menu available, and yeah that's about it.
Thank you Jake once again for a very informative video.
