🌸 THE BEST SPOT FOR CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN HOKKAIDO, JAPAN 💕
Around 4 hours by Shinkansen from Tokyo you can find this beautiful Park filled with late blooming cherry blossom trees! ( Peak time is usually the beginning of may but this year the peak is now. ) 🩷🌸
This stunning Sakura viewing spot is located in one of Hokkaidos biggest cities – Hakodate. (函館) 🌸
Fort Goryokaku (五稜郭) is a star-shaped (now) Park in the middle of Hakodate – Goryokaku was built in the Edo Period (around 300 years ago!) 😳
There’s also an observation Deck nearby where you can see the one of a kind shape of the park with all the cherry blossoms. 🌸💕
Unfortunately I didn’t go because the line was crazy, but next time I’ll def. visit!
Also I took the Shinkansen to get to Hakodate – From Aomori it took only an hour and half of that time you’re 140m deep underwater in a 50KM+ long tunnel lol. I was a bit scared but no risk no fun right haha
