Mount Fuji is one of Japan’s “Three Holy Mountains” along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku. It is also a Special Place of Scenic Beauty and one of Japan’s Historic Sites. It was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site on June 22, 2013.

Day 1:
Train: Ebisu to Shinjuku – JR line
Train: Chou-Line Limited express – Shinjuku to Otsuki
Fujikyu Railway – Otsuki to Fujikyu -Highland
Checked into Hotel Mystays
Cab to Kawaguchiko Station
Bus ride to Mount Fuji 5th station at Yoshida Trailhead
Started our overnight hike at 7.15 pm

Day 2: Stayed at Fujisan Hotel and watched sunrise
Continued hiking to the peak
Started our descent to the 5th station
