It’s early March, Spring is about to arrive and the ikanago season has begun.

The ikanago fishers leave port before sunrise, relying on their experience and radar to find today’s best fishing grounds on the dark sea.

Known as a treasure of Kobe’s local cuisine KOBE FISH is juvenile Japanese sand lance or ikanago caught in the waters around Kobe.
