Today I’m taking The Canadian sleeper train for 97 hours across the North American continent from Toronto all the way to Vancouver on the Pacific coastline. I’ll be travelling in Prestige class which is the most luxurious First Class sleeper cabin offered by Via rail but the excitement only starts with my ensuite bedroom. Join me as we explore the Park Car with it’s private lounge, elegant dining carriage serving up hearty meals and of course the dome cars! We’ll go from forests, to great plains to the Rocky Mountains all over the next 5 days and I’ll be taking you along for the ride.

Thank you to my friend https://www.youtube.com/trav4oilers for the awesome drone footage, go check out Trav’s channel to see his recent experience on the Canadian.

  1. Toronto to Vancouver is missing a good deal of the east side of the continent. This is such a boring trip? back in the 90s, we took the train from Vancouver to Jasper, bar car all the way. As the steam heating system had frozen in open, on high, skiers were trying to lose at strip poker, lol, the trip was a blast. The view from the Jasper platform at midnight is magnificent! Then you turn around, everything is closed, not a cab in sight.

  2. Nice video! The trains aren't GE P42DCs, those are actually upgraded and rebuilt GM EMD F40PHs.

  3. Being a Canadian from Toronto and having lived in Vancouver this really was amazing and comforting to watch. Appreciate the representation! Thank you Will and Millie 🙂 Trek Trendy >>>>>

  4. Yes, please take us to Churchill. Also, how did you get those amazing outdoor train shots, did they have an outdoor platform?

  5. Millie is a compliment to you and what you do. We love Millie! ❤ with love from a subscriber.

  6. Hello! I live in Winnipeg! Long time viewer (: thank you for featuring a small glimpse of the river city (: please visit again. I imagine you would love the journey to Churchill! Safe travels!! All the best from Winnipeg!

  7. Soooo different from Amtrak…this looks great. Smooth transition to the sponsor!

  8. When you talk with Milly it is so much better than the commentary where you are like literally lifestyles of the rich and famous – anyway thank you for this – seems fun – appreciated.

  9. How do you handle no excersise for so many days – do you get stir crazy on the train?

  10. Please do the Winnipeg – Churchill train. I would love to see it. Keep them coming Will.

  11. You join the Mile High Club on planes…. what do they call it on a train? And did you take advantage of your private suite? I know I would have!

  12. Love how well you explain everything…I've taken this trip a few times, in coach as I was alone and I thoroughly enjoyed it

  13. Oh how I wish that American Amtrak was a luxury in any way. It seams that even the most expensive family room is in need of a serious update.
I'd love to travel by train in America and be treated with a treat of some emenities.

  14. I loved the historical commentaries throughout the trip. I drove across Canada about 15 years ago in summer, it was nice but very tiring and somewhat nerve racking on the Trans Canada at night… so afraid of hitting a deer or moose.. abrupt end to a vacation. The train is much more relaxed. Loved this. What a life, taking tours and sharing with others, how blessed you two are.

That lady is not sitting on the seat properly. She's taking up the whole seat. At least she knew enough to take off her dirty shoes before putting her smelly feet on the seat. I hope she moves if someone asks her if they can sit there. I hate inconsiderate people like her.

  16. 12:08 Actually those are EMD F40PH-2D locomotives, rebuilt in the 2010s. VIA does roster P42DCs but those are not used on any transcontinental services

  17. Next time you will have to do it when the snow is gone & the colours are turning autumn shades just to enjoy the difference or in early summer to enjoy the bright greens coming out after the white winter. Then show us what the difference is in traveling via the two classes of transport.

  18. So good to see Millie more & more, keeping you company on your adventures. God bless you both & keep you safe on your journeys.❤️from🇦🇺
