The first IKEA store in Tokyo was opened in 2006 in the city of Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture, which is located just outside of Tokyo.
The store covers an area of 34,000 square meters, making it one of the largest IKEA stores in the world.
The Funabashi store features a wide range of IKEA products, including furniture, home accessories, and Swedish food items in the restaurant.
In addition to the Funabashi store, there are two other IKEA stores located in Tokyo: one in Tachikawa and one in Kohoku New Town.
