Inspired by Joanna Lumley’s epic journey, we decided to take the train all the way from our local railway station in Sussex, to Hong Kong. It’s just six trains and certainly one of the most beautiful journeys we think you can do. It’s hard travelling, but we’ve been very fortunate to have seen a little more of the world, some wonderful people and experiences that we’ll cherish forever. We hope our short film tells a bit of our story. Enjoy.

Hopefully that Ireland -UK tunnel starts construction soon so I can come too

  3. What a fantastic experience for you all! I loved this – I just wish you'd spent longer on it and actually told us more about the journey. I've done a small bit of this – from HK to Beijing by train and ferry on the Yangtze – and it was absolutely awesome. I especially loved when you got home how happy your dogs were! 😁🐶🥰

  4. What an amazing family experience and something you will all cherish for the rest of your lives.

  5. What a lovely family, and awe at the monument of a memory you all have created for yourselves. May it long last a lifetime.

  7. Screw the cost you can’t put a price on the memories you must’ve had along the way. When it comes to journey’s this is off the scale, EPIC & then some.

  9. Can someone explain to me, please.
How in a round globe 🌎 you can travel by train in a straight line? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  10. I'm planning a similar route; travelling from Manchester to London, London to Dover where I will sail late at night to Calais before catching the earliest train to Paris where I will spend a couple of heads before heading to Berlin via Frankfurt, spend a week there which involves a stop over in Szczecin for the weekend before returning and taking the train to Moscow. I'll spend time in Moscow before taking the train to Orenburg where I will spend one week with a brief visit to Aktobe in Kazakhstan. Back to Orenburg long train journey to Krasnoyask down to Irkutsk, across into Mongolia by car where I'll go from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing on the Trans-Mongolian. Whilst in China I intend on visiting Dandong, Nanjing before going to Nanning where I'll go to Vietnam – I'll return to Beijing via Nanning and Changsha before I head to Changchun, Shenyang and cross into Russia to Khabarovsk where I'll catch a 5 day long journey to Moscow. From Moscow I will head to Helsinki, sail to Travemunde (Germany) go to Hamburg across to Amsterdam and overnight sail to Newcastle then take the train back to Manchester. I have saved up more than double to afford this entire trip; just waiting for China to re-open and after two months of being reopen I'm heading out. I'm looking at going in September

  11. over 8,000mi’s by train? rear end gotta be in in serious pain. first stop in hk… CHIROPRACTOR!!!!!

  12. Those where the days before dictators made the eurasian contenent untravilable. Russia could have have been a pleasant country without that Putin.

  13. You can cut out the two transfers between Moscow and Beijing by taking a direct train between those two cities. Both RZD and China Railways have such services, with the China Railway service K3/K4 taking the exact same route you took here, and the RZD service 019Ч/020Щ "Vostok" bypassing Mongolia and entering China via Manchuria.

  14. ❤Love this video! So inspiring
Seems I couldn’t see how long the whole journey was, how many days you have been traveled?
    Thanks for making this video🎉
