► If someone traveling to Nagoya asked me, what kind of typical Nagoya-food i’d recommend, I’d say Misokatsu, Tebasaki AND….. unagi! (*Grilled Eel)

This restaurant, Ibashou, is famous for their grilled unagi (eel), and for good reasons. It is without a doubt, the best eel I ever had, not just in Japan, but in the world, the galaxy, the universe!

And the shop itself is really nice, offering both traditional style (low) japanese seats, as well as western type seats. In the middle of everything, is a tiny green spot (“garden”?) with an equally tiny little koi-pond. (Keyword is “tiny”)

Amazing food, good service, nice surroundings – what more can one ask for? – Try it if you get the chance! – Enjoy!
