TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Taiwan is extremely famous for their night market street food culture, and so tonight we’re eating our way through Nanjichang Night Market (南機場夜市) – a lesser known, yet extremely popular local night market. If you want an off the beaten path, guaranteed delicious Taiwanese food experience, this is a great Taipei night market to visit.

One of the greatest things about Nanjichang Night Market (南機場夜市) is that it’s not only a night market, but it’s open throughout the day and you’ll find different food available depending on the time of the day. Additionally, about 3 or 4 different stalls at this market have been featured in the Michelin Guide Taiwan.

Here’s everything I ate:

Sticky Rice Restaurant 曉迪筒仔米糕: https://goo.gl/maps/sPHDpyumST9ZKZeYA
Total price – 290 TWD ($9.57)

Fried Oyster Ball 好佳蚵嗲: https://goo.gl/maps/ChgAjXxYeJ5jQ75B6

  1. I commented on the first video about the scallion pancakes that I used to eat as a university student, and now Mark goes the night market and tries my favourite stinky tofu in Taiwan. Watching this Taiwan series is like a walk down memory lane, part of me wishes these places would stay unknown so it doesn't become touristy and part of me is so happy to see them featured on this channel. Regardless, these videos make me happy, so thank you for sharing!

  2. Mark could drink gasoline and pretend it's the greatest thing he ever had before. "Woooowwwww! It really brings out that petroleum taste, I can feel my mouth melting from the inside out! Incredibleee!" Eyes bulge out.

Mark at trench toilet in China: "Wooooowww!!! The smell is so intense! My eyes are watering! I'm just overtaken with the umami smell right now…amaaazzzzinnngggg! Wow, it's hot and fresh, right out of the oil!" 'I'm just so happy and amazed by whatever happens, if you don't believe me, look at my bulging eyes and wire hanger pulled smile!'

  3. Why do Asians use so much green onion in all their food? It's not good, and it overpowers everything. I got dumplings, and it was like a full cup of green onions in every dumpling. A little is ok, but that was gross 🤢🤢🤢

  4. I made a mistake by watching this Mark ……………. during my office hour. LOL I just could not refrain.

  5. Hi. Nice video, again. I think the zong zi (sticky rice as you said), is steamed in banana leaves, not bamboo.
