鶴ヶ城（つるがじょう）は、会津若松城の別称で、幕末の戊辰戦争の戦闘地としても有名な城で、「日本百名城」に選定されています。
桜名所としても名高く、「日本さくら名所100選」にも選定されています。

白河小峰城は、白河藩の藩庁が置かれた城で、盛岡城、会津若松城とともに「東北三名城」の一つに挙げられ、「日本百名城」にも選定されています。天守に相当する三重櫓が復元されています。

霞ヶ城（かすみがじょう）は二本松城の別称で、二本松市街の北方にある標高345mの「白旗が峰」に築かれた城郭です。「日本百名城」と「日本さくら名所100選」の両方に選定されており、福島県を代表する桜名所の一つです。

白石城（しろいしじょう）には、三階櫓が復興されており、本丸広場などに多数の桜が植えられています。城跡の周囲にはスポーツ公園も隣接しており、人々の憩いの場となっています。

松が岬公園（まつがさきこうえん）は、米沢城跡に整備された都市公園で、桜の名所です。特に、樹齢が90年近くになる風格のあるソメイヨシノの並木が外堀を囲んでおり、とても見ごたえがあります。

上山城（かみのやまじょう）は、月岡城とも呼ばれ、かつて戦国時代に最上氏と伊達氏の争奪戦の舞台となった城郭です。現在は月岡公園として整備されており、桜名所となっています。城は小高い丘の上にあり、模擬天守が再建されています。

霞城（かじょう）は、山形城の別称で「日本百名城」に選定されています。東大手門が復元されているほか、石垣や堀もよく残っています。桜名所としても名高く、城内に約1,500本の桜が植えられています。

鶴岡公園（つるおかこうえん）は、酒井氏が約250年間、庄内藩主として居城とした「鶴ヶ岡城」跡に整備された公園で、桜名所として名高く、「日本さくら名所100選」に選ばれています。

盛岡城跡公園（もりおかじょうあとこうえん）は、盛岡城の跡地に整備された歴史公園で「日本百名城」に選定されています。岩手公園とも呼ばれ、桜の名所でもあり、春には巨大な石垣の周囲に植えられた桜並木で、多くの人々がお花見を楽しみます。

千秋公園（せんしゅうこうえん）は、久保田城跡に整備された歴史公園で、隅櫓や門が復元されていて「日本百名城」に選定されています。桜の名所でもあり「日本さくら名所100選」にも選定され、春には多くのお花見客で賑わいます。

弘前公園（ひろさきこうえん）は、弘前城跡に整備された都市公園で、「日本三大桜名所」の一つです。天守も江戸時代から現存しているもので、桜に囲まれた姿は風情があります。舞い散った桜の花びらが堀の水面に浮かぶ花筏（はないかだ）の規模も圧巻ですし、本丸からは、雄大な岩木山（いわきさん）も展望できます。
