Hello and welcome back to the channel.
Today will be looking at one of Japan’s most anticipated events of the year, and that is the annual cherry blossom festival, which would be in Maizuru Park or the old castle ruins.
This year it is even more of a festive event, because the Covid restrictions, for the most part, have been lifted, and now, for the first time in pretty much three years, everyone is eager to get out and celebrate this very short festival.
This is one of the best spots in Fukuoka to view cherry blossoms at their best peak when in full bloom. The celebration starts early in the morning and then goes all the way into the evening, you will have people having picnics and barbecuing.
