Trivia: While I was shooting this video, I had such an unbelievable encounter! I ran into one of my old friends who I hadn’t seen for years! He waved at me and said “Yoshi-san” but I didn’t recognize him until I passed by him. Who would expect to meet an old friend in the middle of Kyoto! Since I was filming, I was unable to stop and say hello so I sent him a text message as soon as I finished shooting. You should know which guy I’m talking about if you carefully watch this video. It was such a surprise for me!

Been watching your videos for a while. I'm going to Kyoto next year for 50 days and we're looking for three more weeks in another place in the country. Ideally somewhere that's not really as big as Tokyo. Was wondering if you could share some of your favorite places? thanks!
Too crowded at the beginning saw the mixed group of tourists through the video too. Including time stamp 29:00 glad you were paying attention when you walked by him. The Bamboo walk I think there’s a live stream camera on YouTube I’ve seen it before or it could be at the other one where vehicles are allowed through. I’am glad things are getting back to normal then in May through September Festival time bring something to drink for the walk through. 👍📸🇯🇵
