Japan Adventure July 24, 2019 #5. We begin our day with a yummy breakfast buffet at our hotel Best Western Takayama. We start walking to the open market by the river near old Takayama area and stop to see the Kokubunji Temple with Sarubobo. We continue on and find the open market and do a litrle shopping. We then head on to see a huge torii at one of the bridges. From here we find Takayama Matsuri Yatai Kaikan, paid admission and looked at all the festival yatai and the miniature temple exhibit. It was time to check out of our hotel so we checked out and headed for the Takayama Station to head back to Nagoya. After a 2 hour 40 minutes ride we catch a train to the Nagoya Airport. At the airport we check in our luggage, go to our gate, get a snack and eventually board our ANA airplane and begin our flight to Narita Airport. We catch a couple trains, make a mistake, get on the correct train and finally make it to Asakusa and check in to our hotel at 10:08 pm. We end our day getting dinner at 7-Eleven and taking it back to the hotel. Enjoy!
