Thank you, Andrew, for all the information! I’m visiting Japan in May and planning to purchase the JR pass on the official website. They mention on the website that it’s necessary to have a immigration stamp on the passport to get the pass. Does that mean at the immigration check point I should go through the manned window vs using the QR code from the visit Japan app?
