The old type wooden Rollercoaster used to be the big thrill ride. Remember going on the one at Yarmouth about 11 times on a school day trip. I think the thrill comes from how they go slow to fast, where as the modern coasters go fast and rely on other thrill elements.
I love Dreamland Margate and I can’t urge enough people to make a visit here, it’s such a lovely little park and it’s such a shame it’s had it’s problems over the years, it’s changed so much, maybe 5 or 6 times now !! Margate is also a lovely little British seaside town that’s worth a visit, and nice to see half of Carters workforce and ex rental rides now at Dreamland

One thing dreamland has always done right is the branding and overall presentation. The landscaping is fantastic. The queue lines look fantastic. All properly themed. Looks great.
They should bring wristbands back pay per ride can become so costly

I know its April but the place looks desolate if you're honest…i wish them well but its got the atmosphere of a place barely holding its own…
Great vlog of our Dreamland 🙌🏻 Took my 11yr old on Wednesday, it's a fun day or few hours out. Worth getting the £40 token deal. Downsides are no gluten free food for my kid, apart from one style of cake and one set of toilets were closed.

I am so glad some of Carters rides are there, I really hope that all of the rides find a new home as they are amazing. Certainly missing Carters going to the local park, it was always a great experience.

The retro writing around parts of Dreamland and the black and white photos of yesteryear looks like style Butlins have gone for in recent years, on their hoardings etc. You’d think they were the same company from some angles!

My god Sean, I remember going there a few times in the 1970s. It was a brilliant pleasure park then. I really hope it can get back the glory days that it so deserves. As usual you are so infomative with what yo do and always make it interesting. Always nice to see Charlotte, the dynamic duo.
I've not been there since I bunked off school in about 1985 got the train from Bromley. Rode the scenic railway, looping star and the Mary rose all day and got home just in time for tea.
