My friend T invited me to try a new and popular Japanese hot pot place in the Market City Shopping Center called Kamitoku. They specialize in beef broths and serve an array of fresh meats and vegetables.

***Reminder that there is no hot pot for lunch. Lunch is only ramen dishes. Hot pot is during dinner hours.

Enjoy your show alot…. not just once a week

  2. We love hot pot! The rice porridge at the end was very cool. Glad you got full because it did seem like the portions were small. The BYOB is awesome. Going to add it to our list!

  3. Thank you for another delicious video Misty! 😋😋😋
Everything looked so good; I’ve never had Hot Pot, but want to try it! ❤️

  4. Looks yummy! Another great find at Market City. You can just eat at a different restaurant everyday of the week and never get bored.

  5. Aloha Misty: That was an awesome find. A different type of hot pot meal. Turning the leftover soup-base into a rice porridge was great; it must have tasted excellent with all the essence of the meats, veggies and seasoning. 😀. Great to see you collaborate with T — my 🤙- regards to him and you for this collaboration. Looking forward to the next great find of my fellow 🐯alumni! Best wishes and 🧧!

  6. Hi Sista, miss all of these grinds. My wife was born on Oahu, grew up in Kaneohe, lived in Kauai as well. We are in our late 60s now. Need to get back & check out the Mom & Pop restaurants you talk about. Keep up the great vids.

  7. Looks like there are quite a few new hotpot places on Oahu, and I am excited to add this one to my list! Thanks for the heads-up about needing reservations and the byob. It's always good to see your videos and get your opinions on the quality of foods offered. Thanks again, M! Cheers from Maine! 🤙

  8. Love hot pot & your channel!. 💙🌊

I imagine these types of restaurants are struggling with meat prices being so high and then have to pass higher prices on to customers.

  9. Looks delicious- if you thought the hot broth packed a punch, it must be fire…

  10. I love their Beefy Wild ramen and fried rice combo! I've never done hot pot. Always thought it was too expensive. And I don't want to cook! haha… What happens if you drink all the broth before the porridge? Do they give you more? Love when you're with T…big spenders!

  11. I bought a hotpot so I could put whatever I want in it. The only problem is that its still in the box lol May as well mention the do-it-all breadmaker that hasn't done anything yet in the box for a year. Anyways food looks good. Even with the small portions I would probably still be full af 😂 Nice to see T again. Thanks for the early video treat!

  12. Thanks to you I have a few places I want to go to in Oct I'm staying for a month 183 days and Counting, and a 19 and a half hour flight😩. Don't you just love jet lag… You really do some great food videos.

  13. I'm gradually beginning to really like hot pot, but I have friends who refuse to try it. They don't want to pay for food they have to cook themselves. Go figure. Thanks for sharing.

  14. Kamitoku Ramen in Ward Village ROCKS! I was sad to hear that they will be gone when that shopping center is taken out. The waiters did mention that they have a Kamitoku Hot Pot; thank you for doing the review – I'll be sure to check them out.

  16. Hey Misty! Hot pot is one of our absolute favorites and we can eat it even if it’s over 100 degrees outside. It’s hard to believe they don’t replenish the broth during your meal if you run out. We’d be nervous of running out and would probably overfill the pot trying to make sure we could cook everything!! Other than that, everything looked delicious. The rice porridge at the end looked like congee and when you said it was sweet reminded us of a couple of Filipino desserts that’s a little similar called Biko and Suman. As always another great video. Mahalo for sharing!! Happy Aloha Friday!!
